Course Specifics

Workshop Location Espoo — Mankaan Makasiini or Aalto Design Factory.
Multilingual Environment Supported languages: English, Finnish, Russian, Spanish, and Vietnamese.
Scholarship / Discounts 2 places with special discounts (€80) provided to candidates from unemployed families, students, and active AurinkoLab community participants.

Your Build Journey

Months 1–2

Basics & Frame Blueprinting

Understanding vehicle dynamics, structural integrity, chassis design, and safety protocols.

Months 3–5

Electric Drivetrain & Assembly

Motor installation, battery management systems (BMS), wiring harnesses, and braking mechanics.

Month 6

Testing & The Grand Final Races

Fine-tuning performance, telemetry setup, track safety checks, and official head-to-head racing.

Have a go at reading a real drawing from the project — the steering column bracket, four of which go into every kart we build. Fifteen questions, at your own pace, at home.

It is not an exam and you cannot fail it. We only want to know what each person already knows, so nobody spends the first week bored and nobody spends it lost. No previous experience with tools is needed.
